OKWANYO-OGWARI RIFT DEVELOPS-MIGORI SUCCESSION POLITICS

Practically when two bulls are fighting , every attention would be glued to the scene and no one would care about some goat or hen dwell next field, am seeing duo bull fight in sugar belt and Suna that might distract voters attention to real issues and genuine candidates..

Even before the race for Migori’s gubernatorial politics open, already bad blood is developing between Dr. Phillip Ogwari Mwabe and Commissioner Peter Okwanyo who are seen as potential contenders but who comes from the populous Suna West constituency, their fans and supporters are already drawing daggers and swords ready for battle as scramble and partition of Migori and Suna Votes takes centre stage

In what is likely to be another titanic battle between heavy weights as witnessed before in the sugar belt region in a political war that pit former Rongo MPs Hon Dalmas Otieno Anyango and Hon Dr Ochilo Ayacko, the Mwabe -Okwanyo horn-lock may redefine the political epicentre of Migori and take away centre front from the expected political Goliath’s

If the Ochilo-Dalmas political war of the 2000s is anything to go by then the race will be noisy, messy and with some casualties”

It had been rumoured that Nyatike’s Political Kingpin the one and only “Rhino” Hon Edick Omondi Anyanga aka Omuklela has been loading from the lake region in a snarky calculated move with his cards closer to his chest thereby wrong footing his would be competitors as to whether he will maintain or seek promotion, his silence is more dangerous and politically confusing

Migori’s Mt Kenya ain’t without its fair share of maths, Uriri MP Hon Mark Nyamita who is seen as steering boy alongside other heavy weights like Migori County secretary Mr Christopher Rusana, Mombasa county CEC Seth Odongo, Dr Joseph Owiso Ojele amongst others are in the race and spoiling for a fight

In one of my articles I opined that in the event Dalmas and Ochilo were to lock horns in the county race in a bull fight, the sparks and light from their renewed fight would capture all media and public attention and would have otherwise reduced other contenders to silver race likened to corks fight, unless a third buffalo would emerge and scoop one of the bulls by the ass thereby retracing the news and giving it a new direction otherwise they would be gone and done

If two bulls lock horns in the Sugar belt and another lock horns in Suna, the risk it might potend to other competitors would be stealing the show and ready during the race to sugar belt VS Boader belt, this would. Mean Hon Mark Nyamita , Dr. Ochilo Ayacko and Dalmas Otieno squares it in the semis, likewise Suna potentials will lock horns alongside Nyatike’s Rhino before the finalists square it all for the golden trophy

But now that the global mogul also known as “Trump ” is confirming his muscles against long serving civil servant and son to former minister Jagirango in the county duel, it will be hard to tell whose battle will spark more heat and light, equally it will be interesting to witness his he skips the long awaited Suna West fight against Hon Masara Peter with whom they fell out, Dr. Mwabe would be forced by circumstances then to reach out to Hon Peter Masara for a political truce

One thing is inevitable though, that the race is too thick and complicated to confirm even the gods are lost in direction, even though Hon Junet and Gov Okoth Obado are not in the race, they remain key factors in the gubernatorial contest and a politico fulcrum as they presume heavy influence either on ground or with the party

As time tickles, we shall remain close and watching with every political development as tides change with time.
